Offence related

I have just been flashed by one of your cameras, what happens now?

If the relevant police force decides to process your alleged offence they will be in contact with the registered keeper of the vehicle for them to nominate the driver of the vehicle at the time of the offence. The process will be fully detailed in the documents you will receive in the post. There is a 14 day limit for this notification.

I want to discuss / dispute an alleged offence.

RedSpeed International Ltd are only the manufacturer of type approved enforcement equipment, we have no involvement in the day to day operation of our equipment. You need to direct your questions to the police force involved. 

Equipment related

How many times does your camera flash?

During daylight hours there is no technical requirement for there to be any flashes, during the hours of darkness there will be a flash for each of the three images captured.

How do I know your equipment was working correctly?

All equipment used for enforcement in the UK has to have Home Office Type Approval, which is a detailed process where each element of the camera system is checked and tested to ensure the highest level of confidence on any offence captured. One of the fundamental points of the UK approval is there has to be an independent method to confirm the speed measured by the camera system, known as the secondary check.
